In an interview with TV3, Ayew stated Otto performed a fantastic job and hinted that the Borussia Dortmund coach may help the team find stability.
“We all saw that he performed a fantastic job, terrific is a relative term; he did a fantastic job.” Before the game, I had been with the team for three or four days. I want to express my heartfelt congratulations to him.
In an interview with 3Sports, Ayew remarked, “He adjusted a lot of tiny things on the pitch trying to find the solutions, and it worked, and we need to keep working.”
“I’m a proud Ghanaian to have qualified the country for the World Cup because it’s been a trying time for us with the changes of coaches, and maybe we can find some stability and work towards the objective with some style,” he added.
Addo was only signed for the two play-off games against Nigeria, so it’s unknown if he’ll return to lead the team at the World Cup.
Ghana has been assigned to Group H, which includes Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea.
