Mercy Eke, the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 4, has debunked rumors that she was involved in a brawl with artist Innocent Udofot, alias MC Galaxy.
The former Big Brother Naija winner was believed to have been to Akwa Ibom State for a political event earlier this week. MC Galaxy reportedly invited Eke and another ex-BBN competitor, Princess, to accompany him to the state to support Godswill Akpabio, a former governor of the state and current Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, on his declaration to run for president.
According to accounts, however, Akpabio ignored them (at the event). Later, MC Galaxy was claimed to have met with Akpabio, who allegedly only gave them N1 million to split. Eke was believed to be enraged by this, and she reportedly fought with Galaxy for dragging her to the event.
When Sunday Scoop called Eke, she denied any knowledge of the incident. “There was no such event,” she responded, “so I’m not sure where the rumor is coming from.” That is all I have to say on the subject. That never happened between myself and anyone else.”
Despite insisting that no such event occurred, Eke revealed that singer Timi Dakolo was aware of the incident. “Timi Dakolo was there, and we were all pleased,” she said. I’m not sure who is disseminating this erroneous information.”
