Michelle Jackson, Don Jazzy’s ex-wife and a popular music producer and record label executive, has detailed how the former’s music profession interfered with their marriage.
Michelle revealed in an interview with Naija FM that she and Don Jazzy met at the club but didn’t see one other until their first date.
“We were in a club, and he was with a group called the Solex Crew at the time,” she explained. They were passing out fliers with a handful of his bandmates. I eventually looked at the leaflet and noticed this attractive tall man on it. I had a friend who claimed to know him and offered me his phone number.
He didn’t come over; instead, I typed my phone number into his phone. He called a few days later, and that was pretty much it.”
Don Jazzy, she claims, was very dedicated to his music profession at the time. “He just needed to be himself and do his music,” she continued. It was a week after my 22nd birthday when I got married. We were in our early twenties.” Recall that Don Jazzy announced on his Instagram page in April 2021 that he had married 18 years prior.
“Michelle is so lovely inside and out, with such a sweet heart,” he said, describing her as someone with a decent heart. But, because I was so young and full of hopes, I messed it up by devoting all of my time to my music.”
