Dr Usman Bugaje, a political activist and former member of the House of Representatives, on Friday exposed flaws in political party leadership recruitment, claiming that this has put Nigeria on a dangerous path.
According to him, Nigeria has faced unprecedented misfortune, sorrow, and frustration, which has aggravated life and pushed citizens to the brink.
Nigeria, he claimed, has not been working and remained one of the world’s most dangerous places.
Bugaje, a critic of President Muhammadu Buhari (etd. ), declared these in Abuja after choosing forms to run for President in 2023 on the Peoples Redemption Party platform.
“Simply put, Nigeria is not working,” he continued, “but it has also become one of the world’s most dangerous countries.” Meanwhile, its peers are all well ahead of the first world in catching up. This obviously marks the end of two decades of poor governance.”
Former Special Adviser to ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Bugaje, stated that the PRP was founded on the principle of uplifting the impoverished and oppressed.
