Paul Pogba will sign with Juventus on a free transfer after leaving Manchester United, according to an agreement in principle.
According to Sky in Italy, the duration of the contract is still up for discussion. There will be two options offered: a four-year contract or a three-year deal with an extra year’s option.
Pogba is likely to formally sign the contract at the beginning of July.
Manchester United made an official announcement earlier this month regarding Pogba’s departure when his contract expires this summer. Before joining United in 2016, Pogba would make his long-awaited four-year comeback to Juventus.
As he nears his 30s, Pogba is aware that this might be his last significant professional move and wants to take his time to make the right decision.
To demonstrate their interest in acquiring Pogba from vengeful rivals United, Pep Guardiola met with the midfielder, and the club negotiated a hefty deal. A sensational offer was also made by Manchester City to acquire Pogba from United.
The World Cup winner did examine City’s offer, but he concluded that the tumult and antagonism that would ensue would not be worth it.
