The police in Delta State have detained a 23-year-old man who allegedly killed his girlfriend by hacking her iPhone screen after accidentally damaging it.
Godspower Adegheji, a young man, perpetrated the horrible crime in the state’s Ozoro region.
Gift Oloku, 22, was killed by Godspower with a machete on Saturday, July 16, 2022 after she accidentally destroyed his iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Bright Edafe, the command’s spokeswoman, clarified the tragic situation by disclosing that the lovers got into a furious argument when Godspower became upset with her for leaving without telling him.
To achieve this, he accused her of cheating on him, which sparked a fight that ended with Gift’s death after he fatally slashed her with a machete after she broke his phone in the ensuing brawl.
“People said that he was under the influence of drugs since he rushed her to a general hospital after killing her rather than fleeing.
