According to reports, Paul Pogba and his brother Mathias have been contacted by Kylian Mbappe after the Juventus midfielder is accused of using a witch doctor to cast a spell on the Frenchman.
RTL claims that on September 1st, the star player for Paris Saint-Germain called the Pogba brothers to ask them why they were implicated in the issue.
Mbappe allegedly called them to gather both siblings’ perspectives in order to better comprehend the situation.
With only two months until the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Mbappe and Pogba are well aware of the harm the protracted scandal is doing to the French team.
Recall, Mathias published a bizarre video online on Saturday night August 27 – in four languages (French, Italian, English, and Spanish) – promising ‘great revelations’ about the Juventus star.
A statement signed by Paul Pogba’s lawyers, his mother Yeo Moriba and current agent Rafaela Pimenta, said that the videos ‘are unfortunately no surprise’ and were in addition to other ‘threats and extortion attempts’.
Additionally, it was said that Pogba ordered a witch doctor to put a spell on his French teammate and superstar Mbappe, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain. Pogba denies making this request.
Following his outburst, Mathias reportedly told French officials that he was being held hostage by a gang using assault guns as part of an attempted extortion operation.
The World Cup-winning midfielder, according to the man, was expected to pay the gang £ 11 million in exchange for “protection services” that allegedly dated back 13 years, including his time in Manchester.
In a period spanning more than a decade, including during two stints at Manchester United, the last of which concluded earlier this year, Pogba alleges two armed men claimed they “protected him discretely.”
Mathias, a 32-year-old ex-player for Crewe and Wrexham, blasted his brother for telling “falsehoods” before saying he knew “explosive information” about Mbappe.
He declared, “I’m going to tell you some very important things about him, and there will be evidence and many witnesses to back up what I say.
“Everything might explode and make a lot of noise,” the saying goes.
However, Mathias made an effort to get in touch with the superstar on Sunday, saying he was thinking about Mbappe’s best interests.
“Kylian, now do you get it,” he tweeted. The marabou is known, everything I say is true and proven, and I have nothing bad to say about you.
It’s never a good idea to have a hypocrite and a traitor close by, sorry to this brother, a so-called Muslim who is deeply involved in witchcraft!
On Sunday, judicial authorities in Paris confirmed the opening of an investigation into “attempted extortion in an organized gang.
On Sunday night, Mathias, who played for Wrexham, Crewe, and Crawley Town during his time in English football, vehemently refuted the allegations made by his more well-known sibling on Twitter.
“Paul, you truly intended to silence me fully to lie and put me in jail,” he said. “Now that it’s true, my version of the events actually happen and unlike you.”
According to a legal source, Paul Pogba was able to tell investigators from the Central Office of Judicial Police Combating Organized Crime that he was detained by two hooded guys carrying assault guns and his old acquaintances during a number of sessions.
Pogba claimed the group had been threatening him for four months and wanted €13 million (£11 million).
Intimidation was used in Manchester in April and later in and around Turin, Italy, where Pogba plays for Juventus.
Pogba’s childhood home in Lagny-sur-Marne, a suburb of Paris, is where the group is reportedly alleged to have taken him at the end of March. There, the gang members said that Pogba had abandoned them financially ever since he turned pro.
Paul Pogba claimed during his police interrogation that he had always been close to his childhood buddies and had supported them financially whenever he could.
However, he ejected one from his Manchester home in January after learning that the unnamed man had stolen €200,000 using Pogba’s credit card.
