Tuesday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was approached by Fox News reporter Peter Doocy over her previous denials of election results in tweets and questioned whether they were equally “extreme” in 2016 and 2020.
On Twitter, Jean-Pierre alleged that former President Donald Trump stole the 2016 election and that Republican Georgia Governor Brian Kemp stole the 2018 election. Doocy challenged the White House representative to clarify why she and other Democrats have questioned other elections while “MAGA Republicans” were receiving such negative attention for their allegations that the 2020 election was rigged.
Doocy said, “You tweeted in 2016 that Trump stole an election.
“Oh, I knew this was coming,” Jean-Pierre said, cutting him off. “I was waiting, Peter, for when you were going to ask me that question.”
