Antonio Rudiger, a defender for Real Madrid, expressed surprise at Chelsea’s decision to fire Thomas Tuchel.
In a letter to his colleague, Rudiger claimed, he expressed gratitude for everything.
After the transfer window closed and the first Champions League match, Tuchel was fired, and Graham Potter, the manager of high-flying Brighton, was quickly appointed in his place.
After being given permission to spend £280 million on new players, Tuchel was fired.
Tuchel desperately wanted to keep Rudiger at Stamford Bridge, but he went on a free transfer to Real Madrid.
He said to Sport 1: “They allowed him to get fresh players before releasing him after a few games. I was taken aback by the rapidity.
“I had a sorrowful day the day he was released. I later thanked him in a letter for everything.
If you consider where we started and where he led us, he accomplished the impossible. But you’re aware of how football works. You play both the villain and the hero at times.
