Arsene Wenger, a former manager of Arsenal, has argued that this season, the Gunners should be viewed as title contenders in the Premier League.
Wenger claimed that up until this point in the season, he had not seen another side as dominant as Arsenal.
With six victories in their first seven games of the new season, Arsenal has had a great start.
Currently, Mikel Arteta’s team is in first place in the Premier League, one point ahead of Manchester City and Tottenham.
Because I don’t see any super-dominating teams this season, I’d say they have a decent chance to contend for the crown, Wenger told Sky Sports.
“I think this season presents a wonderful opportunity to do it.
Of course, this season is a little bit unique because the World Cup is in the middle of it, and nobody can predict how much it will impact how well both individuals and teams do. Overall, I think this year presents a fantastic chance.
