In an interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo stated that a transfer to Manchester United’s competitors was “near.”
But after leaving Juventus, the 37-year-old came back to United for a second stint.
Ronaldo admitted that illustrious manager Sir Alex Ferguson prevented him from joining City.
However, according to City insiders, Ronaldo’s remarks are “not representative” of their at-the-time, “moderate” interest, according to ESPN.
