South Africa’s net foreign reserves increased to $53.827 billion in December

The Reserve Bank said on Monday that South Africa’s net foreign reserves increased to $53.827 billion in December from $53.391 billion in November.

Additionally, gross reserves rose from $59.877 billion in November to $60.570 billion in December. The forward position, which represents the unresolved or swap transactions of the central bank, decreased from $0.561 billion to $0.554 billion.
