A Twitter fan called out reality TV actress Mercy Eke for reportedly lying about her age, and she responded.
The story began when Mercy posted pictures of her PVC on Twitter and urged other Nigerians to do the same in advance of the upcoming elections.
Mercy Eke, who just recently turned 29 years old, masked up her birthdate when she shared the photo of the PVC.
However, this did not stop a curious Twitter user from using other details on the card to find Mercy’s profile; her government-issued voter’s card revealed her age to be 32. Read this.
“You covered your date of birth and left VIN that shows everything about you. Does this make sense to you?. Anyway, I’m here to inform your that I just found out that you are 32 years of age. Don’t come here 29th Sept and claim 25 years o. Have a nice day”, the Twitter user wrote.
Mercy responded by stating in a since-deleted tweet that her date of birth on her permanent voter card was incorrect and that she had not lied about her age.
“You all are so dense. So I should not collect my PVC because of a common mistake in my name, occupation and dob. Don’t worry I will sponsor your tears on my 30th,” she said in part.
