Romelu Lukaku, a Chelsea loanee, is adamant about staying with the Nerazzurri after his loan at Inter Milan expires and has no plans to return to Stamford Bridge.
Inter Milan is seeking to keep Lukaku at the club, and the club has scheduled a meeting with Chelsea to talk about the Belgian’s future, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Serie A powerhouses are still eager to keep Lukaku on staff for the upcoming campaign.
Lukaku returned to Inter last summer, and the Nerazzurri paid €8 million for the loan, plus €3 million in add-ons.
The Belgian international has had a challenging season since returning to Italy, managing just two goals in 11 appearances during a season in which he has battled with form and injuries.
Chelsea signed the 29-year-old for £97 million, a then-club record, and they are unlikely to get anything close to that amount back for the former Manchester United star.
