Mikel Arteta, manager of Arsenal, has provided an explanation for why his team fell short against Brentford on Saturday.
The Bees held the Gunners to a 1-1 draw on Saturday.
Leandro Trossard gave Arsenal the lead with his first goal, but Ivan Toney tied the score eight minutes later.
“A very challenging game. They deserve praise for their competitive spirit.
“However, I believed that we dominated and had positive moments. Against that incredibly low block they had, we scored a goal.
“Small margins are the key to winning. You rarely win by wide margins. But you don’t lose it if you can’t win, Arteta insisted.
With Aston Villa visiting Manchester City on Sunday, Arsenal now leads by six points.
