With his current contract set to expire in 2025, Napoli intends to give their talismanic attacker Victor Osimhen a new deal in an effort to deter interest from top European clubs.
The Nigerian international is apparently being courted by Manchester United, who will try to lure him away from the Partenopei this summer.
The Sporting Director of Napoli has reportedly been in touch with Osimhen’s representatives to work on the deal, the Italian news source claims.
The Serie A champions want to give the striker’s contract a minimum one-year extension.
The 24-year-old would receive more money with a new contract than his present €4.5m net season salary.
Osimhen has 16 goals this season for Luciano Spalletti’s team in 17 league games.
