On match days, Napoli supporters now stand in line to purchase replicas of Victor Osimhen’s safety mask at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona.
The majority of supporters, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, used to purchase Osimhen’s jersey on game days, but now they also own the mask.
Prior to Sunday’s match against bottom-tier team Cremonese, hundreds of supporters were seen waiting in line to purchase copies of the Nigerian international’s mask in the stands outside the stadium.
Osimhen scored the second goal as Napoli defeated the opponent 3-0.
In 33 years, Napoli has never won the Scudetto.
The 24-year-old scored 17 goals in 18 league games for the Partenopei so far this year.
With a game still to play, Inter Milan, who are in second place, are trailing Luciano Spalletti’s team by 16 points.
