Sadio Mane, a former forward for Liverpool, chose to ignore Mohamed Salah when asked to name the best finisher he had played with during his football career.
Mane left Liverpool last summer for Bayern Munich after six illustrious years.
The three players propelled Liverpool to victory in the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup during that time. The Senegalese international was part of a dangerous forward line that also included Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
After scoring 174 goals for the Reds, Salah has drawn a lot of attention, and few people would have disputed if Mane had chosen the Egyptian international over his former colleague.
Yet when 1teamsports on TikTok asked Mane to select his best finisher, it took him some time to come up with a response that everyone found unexpected.
The 30-year-old mentioned “Divock Origi,” a striker who spent eight years with Liverpool before this season began.
