Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has acknowledged that his team might find it difficult to play with much intensity against Southampton.
On Sunday, the Red Devils play their 44th game of a busy season.
As they play home to the Saints, who are in danger of being relegated, they will be trying to recover from their 7-0 thumping at the hands of Liverpool.
Four titles are still up for grabs this season for Ten Hag’s men.
Following their match against Southampton, they go for Spain on Thursday in the hopes of beating Real Betis and advancing to the last eight of the Europa League before facing Fulham in the FA Cup quarterfinals.
“When the season comes to an end, it’s going to be even more difficult for every team because the pressure will be higher and higher.
“You need character, determination, resilience and a team with personalities. It demands a lot of energy,” Ten Hag said.
