Finally, the bride has arrived! Oscar-winner After a 19-year engagement, Michelle Yeoh married former Ferrari CEO Jean Todt.
According to People, the pair wed on Thursday in a quiet ceremony in Geneva, Switzerland.
The wedding program for Yeoh and Todt included significant dates from their relationship’s history. We first met on June 4, 2004, in Shanghai. In a picture sent to Instagram by former Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa, the program reads, “On July 26, 2004, J.T proposed to marry M.Y and she said YES!”
The pair said in the program, “Today after 6992 days on July 27th, 2023 in Geneva, surrounded by loving family and friends, we are so happy to celebrate this special moment together!”
In addition, Massa posted a slideshow of images from the event, including a selfie he took with the happy couple and the Oscar Yeoh received this year for “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”
In the photos that Massa posted, Yeoh can be seen sporting two different looks: a nude-hued lace dress and a matching silk bodice, and a cream-colored silk shirt with a matching tasseled skirt. Todt, on the other hand, was dressed in a navy blue suit and patterned blue tie.
In a 2021 interview with The Guardian, Yeoh—who had previously been married to Hong Kong businessman Dickson Poon—mentioned her and Todt’s protracted engagement.
She quipped at the time, “We’ve been threatening to get married for such a long time.” We occasionally exclaim, “Wait, didn’t we already do it?”
Additionally, the “American Born Chinese” actress addressed speculations that she and Todt were considering getting married in 2022.
She snorted to Town & Country, “Thinking!” Instead of counting years, he counts days. What is the present for 6,725 days, I’ll ask him.
