May Edochie, a Nigerian businesswoman, has filed for divorce from her husband, actor Yul Edochie, with whom she shares three children.
In addition, May is suing Yul and his second wife, Judy Austin, for N100 million in damages for alleged infidelity. She is being represented by Femi Falana and the Eculaw firm.
The DPA Family Law Clinic provided an update on the couple’s marital crisis. They also confirmed that Judy and Yul received emails informing them about the case and sending them copies of the court documents.
Additionally, it was claimed that “both Yul and Judy are evading service of the process.” The court bailiff has made numerous attempts to serve them according to the law. But they managed to avoid being served with court papers.
Despite their boasting and social media antics, Yul Edochie and Judy are up against tough legal obstacles, and considering that they have been avoiding service of process, they don’t seem to be prepared for them.
Additionally, May has requested a court injunction preventing Yul from entering their former marital residence. The businesswoman claimed that the actor’s behavior has been unpredictable, illogical, confrontational, and more dangerous. She also raised fears for her safety.
She said that Yul’s actions suggested he might be under some unidentified influence, the amount of which was still unknown.
May recalled a recent occurrence in which security guards barred Yul from accessing their home and informed him that all matters pertaining to their marriage and business operations are currently under judicial review.
She claimed that she did this to feel safe and protected for both herself and her children.
