Blackface, a veteran performer, has claimed that YBNL leader Olamide and his signee, Asake, have stolen his tunes.
Olamide, in particular, has stolen several songs during his career, according to the former Plantashun Boiz member, who made this claim in the most recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast.
“Olamide and Asake steal songs,” he remarked. In his career, Olamide has taken several tracks. ‘Don’t Stop’ was stolen from my song ‘Killa’ by him.
Additionally, Blackface claimed that Wizkid and Burna Boy had stolen his idea for their smash song “Ginger” from them.
He maintained that his song “Twist & Turn” served as the inspiration for “Ginger.”
The seasoned performer said that other musicians not only appropriated his words but also his own sounds.
He claimed that he asked producer Joe’s permission before using P-Square’s “Do Me” beat in his song “Erima.”
Blackface, however, stated that if properly approached, he doesn’t mind penning songs for Nigerian performers, particularly Davido.
The seasoned performer continued, “I’ve been trying to work with Tiwa Savage for years, but she hasn’t gotten back to me.”
