According to Relevo, the club’s board views Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde, and Eduardo Camavinga as “untouchable,” and they are starting to object to the veteran tandem playing at the same time.

THE BIGGER PICTURE: Kroos, 33, completed the entire contest at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, while Modric, 38, took Valverde’s place for the final 23 minutes plus stoppage time when the score remained 0-0. Tchouameni had also been pulled by Ancelotti just before. The last time Kroos and Modric meaningfully interacted on the field was during the city derby loss to Atletico Madrid.
