Real Madrid lost ground after drawing Sevilla.
Both Toni Kroos and Luka Modric completed the game.
The choices made by Carlo Ancelotti have been questioned
WHAT OCCURED?
According to Relevo, the club’s board views Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde, and Eduardo Camavinga as “untouchable,” and they are starting to object to the veteran tandem playing at the same time.
THE BIGGER PICTURE: Kroos, 33, completed the entire contest at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, while Modric, 38, took Valverde’s place for the final 23 minutes plus stoppage time when the score remained 0-0. Tchouameni had also been pulled by Ancelotti just before. The last time Kroos and Modric meaningfully interacted on the field was during the city derby loss to Atletico Madrid.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO REAL MADRID?
On Tuesday night, Los Blancos will focus on the Champions League after making the relatively quick crossing into Portugal to play Braga. Real has so far this season defeated Union Berlin and Napoli in both of their group stage contests.
