Three months after making his debut, Leeds United’s 17-year-old midfielder Archie Gray seems to have caught Liverpool’s attention.
The Daily Mail claims that the Reds are considering signing Gray in 2024 during the summer transfer window. The 17-year-old, who has performed exceptionally well for Daniel Farke’s team this year, will cost them between £40 and £50 million ($49 million/$61 million). They are reluctant to split ways with their rising star, Gray, who has two years left on his deal.
Gray is comparable to Trent Alexander-Arnold at Anfield because of his adaptability and capacity to play both in midfield and at right back. The England U19 international has drawn interest from Crystal Palace and Everton as well, but the teenager might find it enticing to sign with Liverpool and play for Jurgen Klopp, who has demonstrated a great deal of dedication to developing players like Harvey Elliott and Jarrell Quansah.
Liverpool’s Premier League season will resume at Anfield on Sunday, November 12 against Brentford.
