Egypt is now leading the All African Games medal standings, which are currently taking place in Ghana. Egypt continued to lead the medal standings as of Wednesday morning, thanks to their outstanding results in a number of categories, including swimming, table tennis, and wrestling. The North Africans solidified their position at the top of the medal table by winning first place in both the men’s and women’s divisions. They continue to hold the top spot with 165 medals in total (92 gold, 40 silver, and 33 bronze) thus far. Nigeria comes in second with 85 medals (thirty-one gold, twenty-two silver, and thirty-two bronze). The top five countries are Algeria, Tunisia, South Africa, and Nigeria. Ghana, the host country, is ranked sixth in the medal standings. Ethiopia, Morocco, Eritrea, Mauritius, and Eritrea round out the current top 10.
