Rapper J. Cole from America has expressed regret to his associate Kendrick Lamar for making fun of him.
On “7 Minute Drill,” J. Cole retaliated against Lamar, claiming that “he fell off like the Simpsons” after the rapper made fun of Cole and Drake on the song “Like That,” which featured him and Future and Metro Boomin.
Unexpectedly, J. Cole apologized to Lamar during his Sunday performance at the 2024 Dreamville Festival in North Carolina.
In addition, he pledged to remove the offensive song from streaming platforms.
J. Cole said, “I’m so proud of my latest project, ‘Might Delete Later,’ excerpt for one part. Is one part of that sht that made me feel like that is the lamest sht I ever did in my fcking life… I struggled with my spirit to put out the Kendrick Lamar’s diss. That sht doesn’t sit right with my spirit. That sht disrupt my peace. “What I want to say tonight is that in the midst of me doing that sht and downplaying this ngga’s [Lamar’s] catalogue and his greatness, I want to say right now tonight, how many people think Kendrick Lamar is one of the greatest to ever to pick up a microphone? “Dreamville, I love Kendrick Lamar. I pray that my ngga [Lamar] didn’t feel bad. I haven’t been sleeping right the last few days…We taking that diss off streaming services.”
