Fabio Vieira of Arsenal reveals Ronaldo’s backing

Following his transfer to Arsenal from Manchester United, Fabio Vieira has said that Cristiano Ronaldo has offered him assistance.

Vieira signed a £34 million contract with Arsenal this summer and has now made 12 appearances for the club.

Ronaldo and the 22-year-old are both Portuguese, so they are familiar with one another.

Vieira claims that Ronaldo has been offering guidance as he gets used to life in England.

Vieira told the club’s website that Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were his two major influences.

“Ronaldo not only inspires people because he is Portuguese, but also because of his work ethic, the fact that he had to leave his family and his familiar surroundings to join with Sporting, and the fact that he was able to develop the kind of career he has, which inspires everyone.

“I have met Ronaldo. He would always provide support and give advice to young players.”
