One million members of the All Progressives Congress, or APC, have committed to perform a road show on Sunday in support of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, their party’s presidential candidate.
Bappa Babba Danagundi, the director of Kano’s Northwest Support Group of the Tinubu Campaign Council, made this announcement to reporters on Friday.
Supporters will march from the Emir’s palace in the historic city through Kofar Nassarawa, State Road, and the Government House roundabout while displaying their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, his deputy, Alhaji Nasiru Gawuna, senators from the state’s party, as well as other significant dignitaries, will greet the supporters.
Seyi Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the son of Tinubu, as well as Abba Umar Ganduje, Muhammad Umar Ganduje, and Yahaya Nasiru Gawuna would be present.
The Tinubu Campaign Office in Kano is flooded with people registering their intent to participate in the walk, indicating that preparations have proceeded to an advanced stage.
In preparation for the walk, you can see a number of them heading out carrying caps, glucose and water packages, and other items.
“Security agencies were also visible conducting surveillance operations along the aforementioned roads.
“Men from the road traffic agency also take part in training for the duty of traffic control.
Additionally, announcements are widely spread across Kano media outlets and other national media outlets.
“There will be a lot of people there, and there will be live performances by musicians and other entertainers from all over the country.
Danagundi added that camel and horse riders would also be present to add color to the occasion.
