The goalkeeper Andre Onana’s tirade at Harry Maguire has prompted a response from Manchester United center-back Lisandro Martinez.
During Man United’s weekend loss to Borussia Dortmund, Onana recently yelled angrily at Maguire.
The Cameroonian chastised Maguire for a bad ball to Christian Eriksen that resulted in a Dortmund opportunity with Onana having to make a save as a result.
“It is better for [it]. If you are focused, you can fight with your teammates as well, you need to make sure everyone is really sharp, but nothing happened. It is part of football,” Martinez was quoted by ESPN as saying when asked about the incident.
He added, “He [Andre Onana] has a big personality. He can play football, he can deal with the pressure, he is really positive, he is a leader, that is the style of Manchester United.”In the end, the former Inter Milan goalkeeper brushed off whatever disagreements he may have had with the former captain of Manchester United. A teammate Martinez agreed, saying that everyone must be really focused.
