During a recent interview on the Zero Conditions podcast, Victony stated, “I began doing Afrobeats in 2020.” Actually, one of my earliest attempts at Afrobeats was “Soweto.”
To be honest, I always knew I could sing, I was just afraid to do it. Simply because I thought it was meant for weak people. It seemed to me like a weak person’s way out.
“I’ve always admired the energy of rappers and aspired to be one myself. However, I discovered that singing is just as technical as rapping when I started doing it.
