Erling Haaland’s goal, according to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, is not to win the Ballon d’Or.
This was Guardiola’s statement to the media on Friday, in advance of Luton Town’s Premier League visit this coming weekend.
Roy Keane, the former captain of Manchester United, has been critical of Haaland recently, calling the striker a “League Two player.”
When asked how Haaland could improve, Guardiola gave the following response when asked: “Play more minutes, learn what you have to do.”
“The target is not to win the Ballon d’Or, the target is to win the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and he did it.
“Without him, it would not be possible. No chance, impossible. He is a key player for us.”
